Yes Theory, a group of YouTubers, teamed up with a London Cabbie, informally named ‘Cockney Reg’ to go on a 3,000km journey from the UK to Europe and beyond. All for a total of $10,000.

Not your average journey
Taxis are a go-to mode of transport for many city-dwellers for their shorter commutes. Though American YouTubers Yes Theory decided to put the humble cab to the ultimate test in a great big European road trip.
With a $10,000 (£8,000 budget), they decided to see if they could hire a taxi driver to take them on the longest journey possible before reaching their limit.
Finding a cab driver who was up to the mammoth task proved difficult at first, though the group got lucky when East London-based cabbie Cockney Reg agreed to take them.
Reg is a cab driver with nearly half a decade’s experience driving cabs, and having never taken a passenger abroad before was eager to take on the job.
They also decided to buy a used black cab specifically for the journey, hiring Reg privately as the driver.
Going the distance
With everything in place, the team set off from London and headed through some English landscapes on their way to Europe.
In true YouTuber fashion, Yes Theory documented it all in a video posted on their channel. From starting out with their unusual request and the search for a willing driver, to the journey itself. You can watch it all unfold .
The 3,000km journey took them to France, Spain, and Portugal, though it wouldn’t end there. Crossing further borders and continents, the travellers decided to go as far as Morocco where they ended their journey.
It was here Reg was presented with the cash as promised, and to commemorate his determined, excellent driving and enthusiasm for the journey, a ‘World’s Greatest Cab Driver’ award.
Footage from the video shows the team embracing Reg at the end of the journey in an emotional moment, thanking him for his outstanding efforts.

The group achieved a fantastic result setting a previously unheard-of record, while making valuable memories to last a lifetime.
